Pool Filter Cleaning in Chandler, AZ

Thorough filter service that protects your pump, spa, and water features, in partnership with Nevergreen Pools.

Beyond Pool Cleaning opens, cleans, and inspects pool filters of every common type for homes in Chandler, so your pool, spa, and water features get the clean, steady flow they depend on. When the filter is doing its job, almost everything else about the pool gets easier.

Call us if the spa jets have lost their strength, if the water feature is running weak even though the pump sounds normal, if the water has a dull haze you cannot clear with chemicals, if the filter gauge has crept up since the last cleaning, if the automation shows the pump working harder than it used to, if dust from the last storm keeps settling back on the floor, or if you have a DE or sand filter and are not sure how it is supposed to be maintained.

We are a Nevergreen Pools partner with Arizona ROC license 365989, and our shop is on East Gray Road. Book a filter cleaning by calling us or by sending the short form on this page.

More Than a Quick Rinse

A good filter cleaning starts with understanding why the filter got dirty. The technician checks the pump, the valves, the pressure gauge, and the water chemistry along with the filter itself, since poor water balance and heavy debris can clog a filter far faster than normal. With water features and spas sharing the same equipment, flow problems often show up there first, so we look at the whole circuit.

Cartridge filters are taken apart, the elements are cleaned thoroughly, and the housing, lid, and O-ring are checked before reassembly. DE filters are fully broken down, the grids are cleaned and inspected for damage, and the right amount of fresh DE goes back in. Sand filters are backwashed and the sand bed is checked for channeling or clumping. If a part is too worn to clean, we give you a written quote and an honest call on whether to replace it now or later, and nothing is replaced without your approval. The same team keeps an eye on how the filter performs going forward.

Local conditions are tough on filters. Hard water leaves mineral buildup on cartridge pleats and DE grids that ordinary rinsing does not remove. Monsoon dust storms can load a filter overnight, and palm debris and landscape clippings add more. Extreme summer heat means pumps run longer, pushing more water through the filter each day. Many pools here have spas and water features that rely on good flow, along with a mix of newer variable-speed pumps and original equipment that is getting older.

Filter work we handle:

  • Cartridge cleaning and cartridge replacement
  • DE grid cleaning, inspection, and recharge
  • Sand filter backwashing and sand replacement
  • Filter repairs and full filter replacement
  • Pressure checks during every weekly visit

Better Flow, Clearer Water, Longer Equipment Life

A clean filter means stronger jets in the spa, an even sheet of water over the spillway, and pool water that looks clear without extra chemicals. The pump moves water with less effort, so it runs cooler and uses less power, and variable-speed pumps can stay at lower, more efficient speeds. Heaters and salt cells also benefit, because they need steady flow to work correctly.

A neglected filter costs more than it seems. As pressure rises and flow falls, the pump strains and wears faster, heaters may shut down for lack of flow, and salt systems can stop producing chlorine. Fine dirt that slips through ends up on the floor and in the spa, feeding algae. A torn cartridge or damaged grid may let debris pass straight back into the pool. By the time the water clouds over, the filter has usually been overloaded for a while.

We set your cleaning schedule based on actual pressure readings and the season rather than a fixed date. After a dust storm we will move a cleaning up, and during calmer months we can space them out. For weekly service customers, the filter is checked on every visit, so you never have to remember when it is due.

If no one is home during the day, that is not a problem. We can access the equipment, clean the filter, and leave you a note with the before and after pressure readings and anything we spotted while it was open. You stay informed without having to be there. Just let us know how to reach the gate and equipment area, and we will handle the rest on each visit.

Has your filter gone too long without attention? Send us the request form and we will get you on the schedule.
