Beyond Pool Cleaning restores clogged and overworked pool filters in Arcadia, servicing cartridge, DE, and sand systems so water circulates freely and comes back clean. When the filter is working properly, the pump, heater, and sanitizer all perform better too.
Call us if the filter gauge sits well above its clean reading, if you are backwashing constantly and the pressure will not stay down, if small bits of leaf or fruit pulp seem to pass right through, if the water has a dull, milky look, if the returns feel weak against your hand, if DE or sand shows up on the pool floor, or if the filter tank or lid is seeping water.
Our company partners with Nevergreen Pools, holds Arizona ROC license 365989, and runs crews from a Scottsdale Airpark shop. Call or send a quick request through the form to get your filter on the calendar.
The technician starts by checking the system as a whole. Pressure is recorded, the pump and baskets are inspected, valve positions are confirmed, and flow at the returns is noted. Sometimes high pressure comes from a blocked line or a closed valve instead of a dirty filter, and catching that first saves you from paying for the wrong fix.
Next the filter is opened and serviced according to its type. Cartridge elements come out for a deep cleaning and an inspection of the pleats, bands, and end caps. DE units are disassembled so the grids can be cleaned and checked for tears, then recharged with new powder after reassembly. Sand systems are backwashed and the media is checked for clumping or channeling, which lets dirty water bypass the sand. Seals and O-rings are examined so the tank closes tight.
After restart, pressure and flow are checked again to confirm the improvement. If any part of the filter is worn beyond what cleaning can fix, you receive a written quote with an honest view of whether replacement is warranted. The same crew can then keep the filter on a schedule so it does not slide back into the same condition.
Filters here face a heavier load than average. Mature citrus, palms, and mesquite shed leaves, fruit, and fronds throughout the year, and the fine organic material that gets past the baskets ends up in the filter. Monsoon storms add dust on top of that. Hard water also deposits scale on cartridge pleats and DE grids, slowly choking flow. Older pools on the original 1950s to 1970s plumbing may have less flow to start with, so a dirty filter affects them even more.
Filter services cover:
With a freshly serviced filter, water clarity improves, sanitizer is spread evenly through the pool, and the pump stops struggling against a blockage. You get a pool that looks better, costs less to run, and puts less wear on the equipment that keeps it going.
Leaving a filter too long has a cost. Clogged media lets fine particles back into the pool, which means cloudier water and more chemicals to compensate. The pump has to push harder, which shortens the life of its motor and seals. A torn cartridge or broken grid can let debris travel downstream into the heater or salt cell, and in the summer heat, poor filtration combined with high temperatures can quickly lead to an algae outbreak.
Most pools here benefit from a full filter cleaning several times each year, with an extra one after monsoon season wraps up or after a period of heavy leaf and fruit drop. Customers on weekly service have filter pressure tracked at every visit, so the cleaning is scheduled before water quality suffers.
If you are planning a remodel or just finished a rebuild, filter sizing matters. A filter that is too small for the pump or the pool will clog quickly no matter how often it is cleaned, so we look at whether your current setup is matched correctly and tell you if it is not.
Salt pools and automated systems also depend on good filtration. A salt cell sitting downstream of a struggling filter collects more debris and scale, and automation that runs the pump on a reduced schedule gives a dirty filter even less time to keep up. Keeping the filter clean protects the newer, more expensive equipment that many rebuilt pools here rely on.
